Senior tennis player Jurni Kidd got her opportunity and she’s run with it. Since getting called up to play doubles at the varsity level on Aug. 18, Kidd and her partners have yet to lose a match in duel matches. Kidd is 3-0 with Natalie Brown as her partner and 2-0 being paired with Sophia Biggins. Kidd has helped the Lady Giants get off to a terrific start to the season, as the Lady Giants are 7-1 this season and winners of five-straight.
Favorite class in school?
I like science. Learning about different types (of science). It’s crazy how the world works.
Pet peeve?
Not matching my clothes. I have to match. If I’m wearing a black shirt with tan pants, I have to have black shoes, I have to. It’s just my thing.
If I asked your parents what’s your worst habit, what would they say?
After doing laundry, I won’t put it away, I’ll leave it for the next day or a couple days later. Always.
What TV show or movie do you refuse to watch?
Any scary movie. Any scary show. I do not like to be scared at all.
Biggest fear?
Bugs and heights. Bugs (are worse), for sure. You can stay on the ground if you want to, but bugs are everywhere.
What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
High School Musical, just that movie, I could talk about it forever. I frickin’ love that movie. It’s a movie that, if it comes on, I’ll watch it. It’s my favorite movie.
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Go zip-lining. I’ve never been but I want to.
College plans?
I want to go to college, I don’t know where yet, but I want to major in neuroscience and minor in music, or something, because I play violin.
