Ross boys basketball team’s three-game win streak came to a sudden halt Saturday night.
The Little Giants struggled to find offense against a stout defensive effort by the Toledo Start Spartans and Ross suffered a 57-37 loss.
Start came out of the gates firing, making 7-of-12 shots in the first quarters to take an 18-10 lead after the first quarter. The Little Giants’ offense ran dry in the second. Ross made just one field goal and scored two points in the second quarter falling behind 32-12 going into halftime.
Ross never threatened to come back as its overall record dropped to 3-6.
Tre Campbell led Ross with nine points while Jabryis Heidelburg added seven.
The Little Giants return to action Tuesday at Whitmer, which was postponed due to Friday night’s snowstorm.
