Little Giants pick up three championships at weekend doubles tournaments

FREMONT – Two doubles tournaments in a span of 24 hours left the Little Giant tennis team with a trio of championships.

Friday night the Little Giants placed fourth as a team at the Port Clinton Doubles Invitational. There, Ross was led by the No. 3 doubles team of Ethan Moyer and Nils Nolte, who won their bracket championship.

Saturday morning, Ross hosted its own doubles tournament, the Little Giant Invitational. There, the Little Giants picked up two more first-place performances.

Alex Thatcher and Trevor Weickert combined to win the No. 1 doubles championship. Sam Long and Lucas Cronin teamed up for a championship at No. 2 doubles.

As a team, Ross finished second.
