NORWALK – After eight-straight victories to begin the season, the Fremont Ross girls tennis team has found itself on the short end of the court for the second time in as many afternoon.
The Lady Giants lost by a score of 3-0 due to the teams playing OTCA rules, where the match ends when a team wins three points. With the day’s heat and storms approaching on the radar, the team agreed to speed up the match.
When the match was halted, however, Ross’ Nos. 2 and 3 singles players Lily Abdoo (6-2, 5-4) and Berlin Swaisgood (7-5, 5-1) were leading their matches.
Ross returns to the court again Thursday, looking to get back into the win column as the Lady Giants host Fostoria at 4:30.
