LIMA – Much of the season, the youthful Lady Giant tennis team has found itself on the wrong end of a 5-0 score.
Monday night against TRAC rival Lima Senior, it was Ross’ turn to bring out the brooms.
The Lady Giants took a 5-0 sweep of the Spartans.
“They’re getting a little confidence and much more experience as we’re heading into the middle of the season,” coach Lisa Wolfe said.
Vivyanna Esquivel won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1, and Alexis Huff won at second singles, 6-3, 6-1 while Lucy Miller won third singles by default.
Morgan Shetzer and Trinity Smith were victorious at No. 1 doubles, 6-2, 6-0, while Shea Smith and Brynn Ruppert won at No. 2 doubles, 7-5, 6-2.
Ross (2-8 overall, 2-2 TRAC) is back in action Tuesday as the Lady Giants host St. Ursula, starting at 4:30.
