FREMONT – The Little and Lady Giant bowling teams returned to the lanes Tuesday after an extended break.
The boys team showed no signs of rust from the long layoff, rolling a season-high score in taking a narrow 2,576-2,527 victory over Tiffin Columbian.
Brody Abdoo led Ross with games of 241 and 219 for a 460 total while Brayden Ebinger rolled a 204 and 148 for a cumulative score of 352.
The victory lifts Ross boys’ record to 5-11 overall.
The Lady Giants also bowled well, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 1,430-1,339 loss to the Tornadoes. The teams were tied after the match’s first to games, each totaling 923 pins. The difference came in four Baker games were Tiffin out-rolled Ross 507-416 for the win.
Alysaa Schaffer rolled a team-high score of 271 (116, 155) for the Lady Giants whose overall record dips to 1-13.
Both teams are back in action next Tuesday and Wednesday against Norwalk at Plaza Lanes.
