Fremont – After starting the season with six straight losses, the Lady Little Giants had their third straight shutout win over Lima Senior 7-0 Wednesday afternoon.

The Giants came out attacking the Lima goal with three quick scores only four minutes into the game.  Paige Drusback hit the first goal on a put back. Drusback’s goal was followed under a minute later with back-to-back goals by Jaydyn Rozzell. With 34:10 left in the first half, Drusback found the goal again on an assist by Rozzell putting the Little Giants on top 4-0.  Six minutes later Maylin DeWalt found the net to increase the Ross advantage to 5-0.

Jaydyn Rozzell made it a hat trick night when she scored her third goal at the 37:35 mark of the second half as the Little Giants began pulling away 6-0.  The final scoring play of the game came just seconds after Rozzell’s third goal. This one with a free kick by DeWalt to finish the game’s scoring.

GIRLS VARSITY TENNIS
FREMONT – Fremont Ross is on a roll with another 4-1 win over non-league foe the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The Lady Giants have improved their record to 6-8 on the season.
Winners for Ross included Jenna Gooslin in second singles with scores of 6-2, 6-1 and Alexis Huff in third singles 6-4, 6-0. In doubles play Trinity Smith and Alex Bishop bested their Blue Streak opponents 6-4, 6-0. In second doubles Becca Jensen and Kayla Lewis shut out their opponents 6-0, 6-0.

BOYS VARISTY GOLF

The Little Giants fell two straight days by the same score of 169-172.

Tuesday they were beaten by the Clyde Fliers. Mason Durnwald and Will Stotz carded scores of 40 while John Mapus (45) and Owen Wright (47) made up the scoring for Ross. Also participating were Gabe Ontiveros (47), Scout Mosser (49).

The Little Giants were back in action Wednesday as they took on TRAC opponent Toledo Whitmer at Bedford Hills  also taking a 169-172 loss. This time around Will Stotz led Fremont with a round of 40. John Mapus (43), Owen Wright (44) and Mason Durnwald (45) added up to the round of 172.
