FREMONT – The Lady Giants are off to a rough start, but they continue to battle and learn.
“The team is still learning to play with one another,” coach Megan Rahe said. “Our goal is to develop into better players each time out.”
The young Giants have certainly had to deal with the learning that comes through defeats, but Rahe has confidence and is bringing her team along in the best of her abilities.
“We are a young team. With more repetitions we will keep getting better.”
Rahe is looking and coaching her team to be more consistent at the plate. The Giants need to put the ball in play and move the runners when in scoring position. “Defensively, we are getting better each day and will keep getting better each game with repetitions.” Rahe said.
With this said, the team came together and kept battling to their first victory in the second game of a double header Thursday after making the long trip to Lima Sr. Congratulations to all the ladies as they continue to improve.
The weather, which has been a challenging part to this young season, hopefully will allow today’s home game versus St Ursula to go as scheduled. (Cover photo is Senior Peyton Fawley).
