In a thrilling display of athleticism and teamwork, the Lady Giants Softball team clinched a resounding victory over Sandusky with a commanding 15-5 win. However, the triumph on the field was only part of the celebration as the team also honored its three esteemed seniors – Allison Gazdecki, Sam Hardy, and Ella Warner – in a touching pre-game ceremony.
Before the first pitch was thrown, the spotlight turned to the graduating seniors, who were lauded for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the team throughout their high school careers. Gazdecki, Hardy, and Warner were recognized for their invaluable contributions to the team both on and off the field.
Once the game was underway, it was evident that the Lady Giants were determined to make their senior night one to remember. Leading the charge was Rubi Almaguer, whose stellar performance at the plate saw her go 4 for 4 with 3 RBI, setting the tone for the team’s offensive onslaught.
Not to be outdone, senior Allison Gazdecki delivered a standout performance of her own, going a perfect 4 for 4 with an impressive 4 RBI, showcasing her power as a clutch hitter when her team needed it most.
Mady Hammer also made her presence felt, going 3 for 3 with 3 RBI, while senior Sami Hardy contributed to the offensive barrage with a crucial hit, driving in another run for the Lady Giants.
