The Little Giants boys soccer team picked up a non-conference win last evening defeating Toledo Start 3-0. Traveling to Toledo to take on the Spartans, the Little Giants showcased their skill and teamwork, leaving no doubt about their intentions this season.
Logan Wensinger set the tone early, finding the back of the net to give the Little Giants an early lead. The offense didn’t stop there, as Alberto Martinez delivered a standout performance, not only scoring a goal of his own but also providing two crucial assists. His sharp vision and precise passing were key factors in dismantling the Spartans’ defense.
Logan Tucker also added to the scoreboard, further solidifying the Little Giants’ dominance. Freshman Maden DeWalt, making an impact in his debut season, contributed an assist, showing that the future of the team is in good hands.
On the defensive end, senior goalkeeper Cole Kinsey was nothing short of stellar. His consistency between the posts earned him his second shutout of the season, proving once again that he is a formidable last line of defense.
With this win, the Little Giants move to 2-1 on the young season. They will return to action next week as they travel to Sandusky Perkins to take on the Pirates.
