In a thrilling Northern Lakes League match-up, the Lady Giants tennis team secured a closely contested victory over the Findlay Trojans, thanks to a dominant performance in singles play. The win propels the Lady Giants to a 5-3 record for the season, setting the stage for the next crucial league encounter.

Leading the charge for the Lady Giants was Kayla Lewis, who displayed poise and precision at the No. 1 singles position. Lewis cruised through her match, defeating her opponent by scores of 6-4 and 6-0. Her blend of powerful serves and swift court coverage left her opponent struggling to keep up, setting the tone early for the Lady Giants.

At No. 2 singles, Elayna Gray added to the Lady Giants’ lead with a gritty performance, claiming victory with scores of 6-3 and 7-5. Gray’s consistency and mental toughness were evident as she fended off a late surge from her opponent to clinch the match and further solidify the Lady Giants’ advantage.

The day’s winning recipe was completed by Mariska Rakay at No. 3 singles, who sealed the match with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 win. Rakay’s aggressive baseline play and steady backhand returns proved too much for her opponent, allowing the Lady Giants to secure a decisive win in singles play.

With the victory over Findlay, the Lady Giants now enjoy a well-deserved weekend off before they gear up to face Northview in another pivotal Northern Lakes League match-up. The team will look to build on their momentum as they travel to Northview, hoping to continue their climb up the league standings.
