In a match that came down to the wire, the boys’ golf team suffered a heartbreaking defeat yesterday, losing to Oregon Clay by the slimmest of margins — a single stroke. The final score read 176-175, a tough pill to swallow for the Little Giants who gave it their all on the course.

Robert Rich and Brandon Fry led the charge, both carding impressive rounds of 42. Their performances kept the Little Giants in contention throughout the day. Quinn Wolf added a solid round of 44, contributing crucial points, while Evan Kindred rounded out the scoring with a 48.

Despite the narrow defeat, the team showed resilience and determination, keeping the match competitive until the final putt. The one-stroke difference reflected the intense competition and high stakes of the match, where every shot counted.

The boys will look to bounce back quickly as they prepare to return to action on Thursday against Toledo Whitmer. With the season still in its early stages, there is plenty of time to regroup and aim for redemption. The team remains optimistic and motivated, eager to put this loss behind them and focus on the challenges ahead.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Little Giants take on their next opponents, and continue to show their fighting spirit on the green.
