The Lady Giants tennis team delivered a strong performance at the Northern Lakes League (NLL) Championships, securing an impressive 3rd place finish. The championship event was held over two days at the Perrysburg Tennis Center, featuring competitive action from across the league.
Leading the charge for the Lady Giants were Kayla Lewis (#1 Singles) and Mariska Rakay (#3 Singles), both of whom fought their way to the finals in their respective brackets. Despite their tremendous efforts, both players finished as runners-up after narrowly falling short in the final matches. Their deep runs in the tournament were vital to the team’s overall success.
Elayna Gray, competing at #2 Singles, also played a pivotal role by capturing a 3rd place finish, adding crucial points to the Lady Giants’ overall tally.
The NLL championship title went to Bowling Green, who topped the leaderboard with 24 team points. Clay followed in second place with 21 points, while Ross secured 3rd place with 18 points.
The Lady Giants’ strong showing at the tournament is a testament to their hard work and competitive spirit throughout the season.
