The Fremont Ross High School swim teams continued their stellar season with commanding victories over the Whitmer Panthers in a friendly dual meet. Both the Lady Giants and the Boys team showcased their depth and talent, earning decisive wins to maintain their winning momentum.

Lady Giants Dominate With a 58-Point Victory

The Lady Giants made a statement with a 128-70 win over Whitmer, fueled by a string of first-place finishes across multiple events. Their triumph began with a strong performance in the girls’ 200-yard medley relay, where the team of Layla Mendoza, Kayla Lewis, Sydney Weickert, and Elayna Gray touched the wall first. The momentum continued as individual swimmers secured key victories:

Sydney Weickert: 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard freestyle
Lilian Weakly: 50-yard freestyle
Peightyn Wolf: 1-meter diving
Brenah Parker: 100-yard butterfly
Kenna Tooman: 500-yard freestyle
Layla Mendoza: 100-yard backstroke
Kayla Lewis: 100-yard breaststroke

The Lady Giants also dominated in relays, with first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Mendoza, Lewis, Parker, and Pfotenhauer) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (Weickert, Gray, Tooman, and Mendoza).

Boys Team Powers to a 25-Point Win

The boys’ team followed suit with a 130-105 victory, led by stellar performances in both individual and relay events. The boys kicked off the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, featuring Logan Garza, Lucas Garza, Parker, and Rich. Key first-place finishes included:

Matthew Biddle: 200-yard freestyle
Logan Garza: 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle
Jaheim Stratton: 1-meter diving
Eric Elder: 100-yard backstroke
Lucas Garza: 100-yard breaststroke

The meet concluded with a victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay, featuring the quartet of R. Rich, Lucas Garza, Logan Garza, and C. Rich.
Building on Success

With these victories, the Fremont Ross swim teams continue to solidify their status as formidable competitors in the region. They will have a true test this Saturday as they compete in the annual Northwest Classic with a field of over 1000 swimmers
