The Fremont Ross Boys Wrestling team delivered a commanding performance last evening, securing an impressive 57-12 victory over Lake High School. The Little Giants showcased exceptional skill and determination, thrilling the home crowd with several standout performances.
The evening kicked off at the 150-pound weight class, where Bryce Estep set the tone with a dominant win by fall. The momentum continued as Cooper Hetrick displayed technical brilliance, earning a first-period technical fall. Broderick Barth contributed with a forfeit victory, and Anthony Salazar followed with a hard-fought decision win.
One of the most electrifying moments of the night came at 190 pounds, where TaeDen Brown faced off against Lake’s Julian Rodriguez. The intense bout went into sudden victory, with Brown emerging triumphant, igniting the crowd with his resilience and relentless pressure.
At 215 pounds, Fremont’s AJ Wallace battled valiantly but ultimately fell short, losing by decision. However, the Little Giants quickly regained their momentum. Zeb Zucker delivered a stunning first-period pin, as did Jackson Durbin at 106 pounds and Lincoln Ollom at 120 pounds. Aidan Autullo continued the pinning streak at 126 pounds, further solidifying Fremont’s dominance.
Despite a tough loss by decision at 132 pounds for Logan Wensinger, Fremont’s lineup remained strong. Jayce Frymire showcased his dominance at 138 pounds with a tech fall victory. This was followed up with another tech fall victory from Nathan Craig.
The Little Giants’ victory reflects their hard work and preparation, leaving fans excited for what’s to come. The team will now set their sights on the Mohawk Duals, traveling to compete this Friday.
