The Fremont Ross bowling team faced a tough challenge on Wednesday, experiencing their first loss of the season in a nail-biter against the Clay Eagles. Despite holding the lead for much of the contest, the Little Giants couldn’t fend off a stellar final baker game by the Eagles, who edged out a narrow 2390-2403 victory.
Ross entered the final baker game with a 26-pin advantage, but Clay’s remarkable performance turned the tables in their favor. Leading the way for the Little Giants was William Eastham, who rolled an impressive 221-199 series for a total of 420. AJ Kelser also made a significant contribution with a 215-171 series, totaling 386.
The defeat drops the Little Giants to 7-1 on the season, but the team remains optimistic. They’ll aim to bounce back as they take on Findlay today, with hopes of returning to their winning ways.
