The Little Giants boys’ and girls’ swim teams faced off against Oak Harbor in a competitive dual meet on Tuesday night, with the boys narrowly falling short and the girls delivering a dominant performance.

In a tightly contested matchup, the boys’ team came up just shy, losing to Oak Harbor by a score of 96-84. Despite the loss, the team showcased impressive determination, with several swimmers achieving personal bests. The highlight of the evening for the boys came from Bryceton Sabo, who claimed the team’s lone first-place finish in the 1-meter diving competition.

Meanwhile, the girls’ team dominated the pool, securing a decisive 103-63 victory over Oak Harbor. The Little Giant swimmers captured numerous first-place finishes, including standout performances from:

  • Girls 200-Yard Medley Relay: Mendoza, Lewis, Weickert, and Gray.
  • Layla Mendoza: 200 Free and 100 Backstroke.
  • Elayna Gray: 50 Free.
  • Peightyn Wolf: 1-meter diving.
  • Sydney Weickert: 100 Butterfly.
  • Kayla Lewis: 100 Breaststroke.
  • Girls 400-Yard Freestyle Relay: Tooman, Pfotenhauer, Parker, and Mendoza.

The Little Giants are now focused on their preparations for the Northern Lakes League (NLL) Swimming Championships, set to take place on Friday. With momentum from this meet, both teams are eager to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level in the championship meet.
