After a stellar high school career as a key contributor on both sides of the ball, Fremont Ross senior Zalen Harris has officially committed to Rio Grande to continue his football journey.
Harris, a three-year letter winner for the Little Giants, made his mark as a dynamic running back and a hard-hitting linebacker. On offense, his speed and elusiveness in the backfield made him the centerpiece of Ross’s rushing attack. Whether breaking through tackles or making defenders miss in the open field, Harris consistently delivered big plays for the Little Giants.
Defensively, Harris was a force to be reckoned with. His sure tackling and ability to attack downhill made him a key piece of the Ross rush defense. Whether stopping runs at the line of scrimmage or tracking down ball carriers in space, Harris’s presence was felt throughout the season.
“Zalen is the kind of player every coach wants on their team,” said Fremont Ross head coach Chad Long. “His work ethic, leadership, and determination made a huge impact on our program, and we’re excited to see him continue his success at the next level.”
With his commitment to Rio Grande, Harris joins a program eager to add his talent and versatility to their roster. His ability to contribute on both sides of the ball will undoubtedly serve him well as he takes the next step in his football career.
Fremont Ross and the entire Little Giants community congratulate Zalen on this achievement and look forward to watching him excel at the collegiate level.
