Lady Little Giants Claim First Invitational Title of 2025 at Bowling Green
The Fremont Ross Lady Little Giants are off and running in the 2025 track and field season, capturing their first invitational championship of the campaign in dominant fashion at the Bowling Green Invitational. With a strong team effort and several standout performances, the girls posted an impressive 164.5 points to outpace the competition.
Leading the charge was Junior Braxtyn Jordan, who turned in a stellar triple performance. She sprinted to a personal-best time of 12.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash to take the win, then joined forces with Ashtyn Marsee, Lexi Nelson, and Malise Lee-Garrett to claim the 4×200-meter relay title in 1:47. Braxtyn capped off her day with another gold, this time in the 200 meters with a time of 26.85.
Danika Denman also had a banner day, sweeping the hurdles events. Denman won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.52 and backed it up with a first-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles in 48.29, giving Fremont Ross a critical points boost.
The Lady Little Giants also had strong field event performances. Lexi Nelson captured the long jump title, while Lyndi Wolf soared to victory in the high jump. Other key contributors included Kilee Kidd, who finished 2nd in the high jump, Reese Smith, runner-up in the discus.
Little Giants Boys Finish Runner-Up Behind Record-Breaking Night from Brown
On the boys’ side, the Fremont Ross Little Giants delivered a powerful performance of their own, coming away with a strong second-place team finish—thanks in large part to a sensational meet from senior Jadrian Brown.
Brown shattered four meet records and nearly claimed a fifth, leading the charge for Fremont Ross. He opened with a personal-best 10.88 in the 100 meters, before teaming with Kevin Jones, Ty Brown, and Stephen Reiter to break the meet record in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:30.03. Jadrian followed up with another record-setting relay performance in the 4×100, joining Lazerick Howard, Ty Brown, and Stephen Reiter. To cap off his historic night, Brown posted a blazing 22.18 in the 200 meters, breaking the existing meet record—only to be edged out for first place by an opponent who clocked 22.15, also under the previous mark.
Other key performers included Mason Englund, who earned second-place finishes in both the high jump and 110-meter high hurdles. The 4×800 relay team of Bryce Shiets, Adrian Ontiveros, Bentley Lopez, and Boogie Sanchez placed third, as did the 4×400 relay squad of Shiets, Jones, Ontiveros, and Sanchez.
Head Coach Elder praised the efforts of both teams, noting the high level of competition at the event.
“Congrats to all our Little Giants athletes for their outstanding performances in what is always a very competitive meet,” Elder said.
